Listen

Tonight Winston Marsalis was on the Colbert Report (or here if you're not Canadian, or you just wanna check his site) talking about his new book Moving to Higher Ground: How can Jazz change your life.

He talked about how jazz teaches you to listen.  I really really felt what he was saying.  It told me something I always have to remind myself... that truely listening can make a profound difference in not only how well you understand music, but life itself.

So today I shall endeavour to listen.

Really listen.
